Which would you rather - Mercedes C63 AMG, the Porsche 911 GT3 or the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S
The Mercedes C63 AMG, the Porsche 911 GT3 or the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S, which is best choice for the track and on the road, and which one would you choose? For me, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the C63 AMG is my favorite AMG, make it a Black Series and no other car in its class can really compare. Just listen to the engine, it should win based on sound alone.

But if my love of the C63 AMG Black Series isn’t enough for you and you still want to find out how they compare, Chris Harris puts all three in a head-to-head challenge through England in his latest /DRIVE video.

hmmmm 911 for the driving dynamics, Aston for the style, and C63 for that brilliant sound

Aston Martin BY FAR. The engine is in the right place and it is gorgeous. Not into the truck-faced Merc.

I agree the Aston Martin by far.

911 GT3 for me. Best driving, lowest priced car in the group, best transmission of any car period. Even Chris Harris, who has had lots of seat time in these cars, admits that nothing else even came close. The 911 soundly trounced the others in both wet and dry conditions while remaining surprising comfortable on the road. Throw in Porsche's high reliability and top customer satisfaction rating and it difficult package to beat.

Aston for fast GT cruising
- can't beat 12 cylinders and a manual

Porsche for Angered Driving
- canyon carving with the precision of a scalpel while dancing with the devil on your back

Aston has the most style but is very antiquated. It debuted in 2003! Time for a total overhaul, not just a series of refreshes.

The last of the V12 manuals is an instant classic - Aston Martin. I don't race professionally, nor do I care if I'm the fastest on the track. What I do care is the connection with the car, the driving experience, the sound the fun of it all. Shifting the naturally balanced V12? Yummmmm....

I love Porsches, and their handling and everything about them, but a stick shift V12 is just too good to pass up.
