VW Passat to get more RRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

VW has confirmed it is considering a hot version of its Passat family car.

The R36 would use a 280bhp 3.6-litre V6 engine which the firm already sells in the US. That would give it the pace to match the turbocharged Mazda 6 MPS.

No they aren't, that is like saying the Mini and the BMW 5 series are the same car. This aritcle is referring to Europe, here in the US there already is a 280 hp 3.6 liter V6 Passat, in Europre the top version was limited to 3.2 liters and 250 hp.

Chewy is right. And the Passat and the A6 dont share a single part with eachother. It is not like Lexus which rebadges the camry and calls it the ES and rebadges the LandCruiser and calling it the LX.

You do not NEED OVER 280 Hp in the PASSAT
It is lighter that the 3-Series and the Infinity GS series and so does not need that much HP.

Why the hell does everything revolve around HP with you people ??
