One car we're trying to still figure out is the all-new Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge. Clearly the brand is trying to give itself a bit of a boost and leverage its Formula One relationship with Red Bull Racing. Of course, the problem is that the marque doesn't exactly have a real performance department like AMG, M or RS.

It has IPL but it's more of a NISMO than anything else. IPL and NISMO typically give incremental increases over the standard car and don't go over the top. Granted, NISMO has done up the GT-R and Leaf racer up quite a bit.

The Eau Rouge is supposed to be a different effort linking Formula One into the production car. We're sure this won't mean a KERS system and more of an inspiration via aerodynamics but we'll see how it shakes out and if the vehicle even makes production.

New this week was a video clip Infiniti released with a blaring motor.

We already know it will be a V set up six-cylinder motor with forced induction. From what I hear, it sounds a bit like the Nissan GT-R but not quite it.

What do YOU hear?

I would assume a manual is likely out of the question.

I hope I am wrong but if I were a betting man I'd guess I was right...

sounds great, I wish Nissan could apply this same concept to an R Spec or Eau Rouge version of the next gen Maxima
