You know I originally said or commented when you (001) put out that video on the BMW park assist, that I didn't like it. But more and more as I look into it and research it....it's a really good thing. Especially for those people that will buy the high end LS460 or similar flagship, those people would feel more comfortable in parking that big yacht in a tight space. Maybe this is something that will get you a discount on insurance.

Amazing what money can buy these days. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't cool technology, but very sad that Lexus knows it has customers who can't even park.

It parks it self. Wow I guess that would REALLY be helpful for those who can't park in the dark. Or as your friends stand outside your car they can watch you engage it to park itself. They would stand in amazement as you select start parking and hold your foot over the brake. Exciting

it is a little over doing it, but none the less is very cool to show off to your friends with. Good job lexus!

Mercedes has had this since Feb. in the new S-Class.

Will, you truly are an idiot. You say that Distronic is a LASER based cruise control, but it isn't. It is based off of radar. If you do your research, the 2001 Lexus LS430 offered laser-based but switched to radar-based (a la MB) because laser was not a very reliabile way of monitoring distance in this specific situation.

If we playing who made what gadget first. I would like to indicate that Honda S2000 come out with the push button start - LET ME KKNOW IF I'M WRONG.

The european accord can now drive itself and is on sell - drive in a straight lane and turn at curves. Of Honda said that it's no substitute for human driver.

First of all I am on your side. I had a 2001 LS ultra with "adaptive cruise control". I don't know which format (laser or radar) it was but in a downpour, a very heavy downpour, it quit working as it could not see through a lens with water running down. This has been corrected but the 2001 was the first year and it only happened to me once in the 5 years I owned the car.
