Those fleet deals to rental car and taxi companies may move more units, but at a price to the auto maker, as those companies usually demand a steep incentive or discount per buy

Almost 20k units over the Camry. That's a larger gap than I thought it would be.

Not surprised here. The Accord looks like you got more car for the money.

Agreed! The Accord inside and out looks and feels much better than the Camry and worth every extra money you pay for it over the Camry. My friend was in the market for a new car and we looked at both the new Accord and Camry and the Accord was the big winner when we compared them side by side except the Accord was more money but definitely worth it.

Ive always been of the mind that Honda's hold up a bit better than Toyota's, though they both have a reputation for longevity.

Honda incentivizes the Accord and Civic at a rate higher than VW incentivizes the Passat and Jetta, and VW--these days--is in the market of buying buyers.

I've driven both of these cars, and the Accord wins hands down. From a styling perspective, this is the nicest Accord ever made, and the interior quality is far superior than the Camry.

I am impressed with the Avalon and am amazed how much of a drop off there is between the Avalon and Camry.
