Consumer Reports Lists The Worst Cars On Market - Who Did They Miss?

Annually, potential car buyers, industry observers and executives await Consumer Reports’ top picks for the year. What the list shows is there are plenty of great cars and trucks to choose from; however, the magazine doesn’t stop there.

While it doesn’t take long for everyone to figure out the mag thinks that Tesla’s Model S is the best car – maybe ever – and that the Dodge Ram is pushing to make the full-size pickup race a three-truck competition, there is a side of the industry that tends to get pushed by the wayside.

Ford Edge is surprising. Surprised not to see Acura on the list, especially the ILX.

The Chevy Spark does NOT deserve to be on the worst list at all. As an entry-level, uber-affordable vehicle it is surprisingly competent of not exactly a "Mini Cooper". A number of friends have them as commuter cars, kids' first cars, and Towds (towed behind a motorhome) and all would buy another in a heartbeat.

VW with their DSG failures needed to be on the list.

The editor for this article is probably the same dude that just published " Best and Worst toaster ovens"

I suggest you read the actual CR article to get the specifics. Feb issue had best and worst for the money, which has about a 50% overlap with the above worst.

Surprised to see the 7 and Evoque here...Renting cars almost every week - just about anything from Chrysler/Jeep deserves to be here

Do not understand why the Volvo XC90 is on this list. It is widely considered the most family friendly mid-size crossover.

But then again that is Consumer Reports, the ultimate automotive authority...

This CR issue just arrived. Best auto issue every, they have really mastered auto purchase advice.

FYI Spark 1LT is near bottom in its category, "extremely loud cabin" "ride is stiff and jittery" "slow" "handling is lackluster"

Volvo XC90 bottom rated old design, underpowered, poor mpg, handling and ride.

Never been a fan of CR but this time they almost nailed. I would take the Edge out of the list and add the rest from Lincoln and Mitsubishi.
