VIDEO: 5 GREAT Overlooked Cars? They're OVERLOOKED For A Reason!
In recent years, I will not lie, Consumer Reports has been putting out some impressive reviews and content related to automobiles. No longer is it producing the same methodology to autos as it does household appliances. I actually kid, but seriously, their perspective on the market has been pretty dead-on.

Except now.

An all-new video from the CR outfit discusses five overlooked vehicles in the marketplace. Now I wouldn't have a problem with this provided they were really good options. They're not.

Let's see here, what is CR recommending:

- Buick Regal
- Mazda CX-9
- Volkswagen Jetta GLI
- Volkswagen Tiguan
- Honda Ridgeline

Aside from the Jetta GLI, I can think of at least two products for each class that are head and shoulders BETTER than what CR suggests.

Am I alone here?

The Tiguan may be over-priced (which it is), but I think the world of mine. If it had a diesel, I would consider it almost perfect. However, the 2015 X3 now has my eye with the new diesel version coming to the US.

If Consumer Reports likes a car it is the kiss of death for me. The Tiguan is a terrible product that easily outperformed by EVERY competitor. The Regal is an OK car but way too pricey given the competition. The Honda Fridgeline is and has always been horrible at being a pickup.

Only salvageable car in this list: The CX-9, and maybe the Buick.

The Tiguan is a complete disgrace
