The S3 probably won't come here, or at least for a couple of years. If it came it would probably replace the A3 3.2 V6.

I am not sure about styling, IMO all Audis look better than their competitive BMWs. But the VW R32 beats the MBW 1 series with the 255 hp 3 liter 6 cylinder engine. The S3 would destroy the BMW 1 series with the 3 liter 6 cylinder engine (BMW "might" put the 3 series turbo in the 1 series, then it would be more interesting)

Wow, that's gotta be a quick little car. Why would Audi not bring it to the US? There's plenty of room for hatchbacks; it would definitely sell well.

Also, hopefully the S3's engine shows up in the A4 and other models. That's a sweet engine.

Because, the 250 hp (and heavier) VW R32 beats the 255 hp BMW 1 series. (ON THE TRACK)

Not really, the actual timing sessions weren't in the wet. However, in the rear world it rains (BMW fans live in fantasy world) However, I respect you as you can accept facts.

y they dont bring these pocket rockets to na is just plain weird. hopefully one day soon.

Unfortunately people here in the U.S do not like 3 door Luxury hatchbacks.
Look at what happened with the BMW 318ti and the C230 Coupe.
Total fiasco.
Audi decided to bring 2 extra doors and it worked!!
Because the S3 only comes with a 6 speed manual at this time too, Audi will not bring that engine here in this configuration because it would not generate enough sales.. :( :( :(

AlexTx, you're absolutely correct. Its a very nice looking car, but will probably be priced in the very high 30s if the brought it over to the states. In that price range, you'll need two extra doors and an auto option to sell. Great pictures!

It would probably be in the low $40k as the A3 3.2 Quattro is about mid to upper $30k.
But man...that would be one hell of a car.
When you look at it, the old S4 had a Twin Turbo V6 with 250hp about 5-6 years ago and sold for about $42k.
This car has a 2.0L Turbo 4 cylinder with 265hp with almost the same performance.
That's impressive!

thats nearly as much as bmw had in the x5 4.4!
it's more than in the 735!
nearly as much as in the last gen S430!

The BMW 318ti and MB C230 Coupe are 2 of the worst looking cars ever made. Shame on BMW on MB for producing such abominations.

The S3, in contrast, is a thing of beauty. If the Mini & GTI can sell, surely the S3 can.

Bullsh*t! (joke) I think the enthusiast market is there and waiting for the right car. The R32/36 will sell.

I have a 2002 S4, and it's fast. I can't image having a car that small with 15 more hp and torque than my S4. Hello speeding tickets..

anS4inOC: I completely agree with you, but the A3 2.0T is sold at 75% with DSG.
The Quattro configuration (just like the S3) requires a different gas tank that would have to be certified to U.S Crash requirements. That's very $$$.
If only a few of these cars are bought, financially it would not be a smart move from Audi.
Believe me, I'd buy one now in a heart beat!!

I own an A3 S Line. Incredible car, DSG, Quattro, 250HP, very hip design. It seems to me that the specs for the S3 are only marginally better. Why wait - Get an S Line! By the way, once I drove a DSG transmission, I never once regretted getting it. All fully manual transmissions are officially dinosaurs now.
