Better than the ugly, dated and cheaply-built VZ model it replaces, but still not great.

It has a great chassis and improved interior, but the sport models looks too plasticky and the interior, while lightyears ahead of the old one, is still below Japanese and European standards.

I find it interesting how local magazines are so enthusiastic about 'The Best Australian car ever built' when in fact a lot of the development work was done in America.

Give it a few years and the VE Commodore will be in drastic need of a refresh, as, once again, it is overtaken in quality and design.

"no longer buy German"

Huh! Do you know how bad the current Commodore/Calais/Caprice is?

Terrible! American build quality, American engines, is that what you want?

WOah, why can't GM bring those designs here, the Holden Caprice looks amazing, a cross between A8 and opel.

They should fit all of those holdens into saturn or bring back the olds. I mean if the domestics can look just as great as those, i don't think there would be any problems in terms of sales volume.
