Is The Nissan IDx The COOLEST Car The Company Has Made Aside From The GT-R And Z?
Although Agent 001 and I knew of the Nissan IDx's debut at the Tokyo Auto Show, we didn't get a really good look at it until the car made its way to the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. And when we did, wow. It's a looker.

Every little bit and piece of these two Nissan concept cars are perfect. And, to be honest, that's a big deal when it comes to Nissan. THINK: Aside from the likes of the GT-R and 370Z, what Nissans have you lusting? I didn't think you could name one.

The Datsun-like IDx gets the juices flowin' though.

It appears we're not the only ones the car struck a chord with, either. That's because Jay Leno's Garage got an up close and personal look at it this week. And(!) they even got to drive it!

From the sounds of it, from the brief conversation with one of Nissan's designers, the IDx would be a front-engined, rear-wheel drive attack on the likes of the Scion FR-S and Subaru BR-Z. We like the sound of that.

So, should Nissan build it? Would YOU want one in YOUR driveway? Weigh in below!

Nissan's design innovators reached out through social networks for input from "digital natives" when creating the futuristic ultra-sporty NISMO.

Nissan is making some seriously ugly cars.

This looks better than the GTR and 370Z both of which were styled with an ugly stick.

Yes, yes it is the coolest Nissan along with the Z and GT-R. This thing has a legit retro feel to it, and the NISMO version is especially cool. I don't know if it works stylistically in something like NYC or Chicago, but in a suburb, especially in Japan, this would look right at home. And yes I'd like the NISMO one in my driveway. The regular one, quite a bit less so.

With all due respect to "TheSteve", if I can fit my clubs in the trunk I'm buying one.

Only thing is... if they have a car like this at the price point Giovanni described - $25k to $35k - then what happens to the successor of the 370Z? Does it move upmarket to compete with the Corvette and Cayman, putting some detuned GT-R engine in there and selling for $55k?
