What Would Happen If Audi Built A 4 Door TT Coupe To Take On Mercedes?
If there’s anything Mercedes has taught us, it’s that not all coupe buyers actually want to give up on their passengers’ comfort. Ever since the first generation CLS came out a decade ago, the market for four-door coupes has grown so much that all the major players in the German premium scene can’t do without them. BMW calls them Gran Coupes while Audi insists on using their almost universal Sportback name, the smallest being an A5. But what if they went a little lower, a little smaller and more compact.

I’d remind them that 4 doors means “sedan.” 2 doors and 4 seats mean “coupe.”

Audi has already diluted the TT image from the original car, so why not destroy it more with a couple of additional doors. Just. Say. No.

The guy that made the pshop usually has cooler ones, this one was too simple from him.

Just plain silly. The rear roofline on a TT is so severe that the passengers would either have to be sitting on the floor or be extras on Walking Dead after Michonne got through with them.

What would happen if NO one bought a 4 door emasculated Audi TT?

Note to Audi: See how well the 4 door Corvette is doing.

I would rather Audi develop an Allroad A7 to bust open a segment that has been exposed this winter here in the NE.

A lot of guys would rather drive a vehicle capable of dealing with the winter weather but wouldn't be caught dead in an Allroad wagon and prefer not to drive an SUV like the Q7. If Audi came out with an Allroad A7, a sleek looking 4 door coupe with an extra few inches of ground clearance to deal with snow and bad roads, it would sell by the bucketload around the NYC area.

Audi already builds a four door TT. It is called the VW Golf/GTI four door.

A four door TT would only work if Audi wanted to build an A5 four door to compete with a rumored BMW 4 GranSport.

Audi already builds a 4-door A5, it's called the A5 Sportback but is not sold in the U.S.

Suicide doors would make more sense to improve rear access.
