CAR WARS! Sibling Rivalry: For Performance OR Practicality? Pick YOUR Poison

CAR WARS! Sibling Rivalry: For Performance OR Practicality? Pick YOUR Poison
Ever since Porsche decided to start building all-wheel drive versions of the 911, there seems to be an age-old debate: do you go with AWD or do you keep the power simply sent to the back?

It's sort of a loaded question, really, as there are valid arguments for both sides.

To help us sort out this philosophical mess, we'll let the boys from Evo Magazine spell it out for you in a video.

Give the clip a watch and let us know what you'd put in YOUR garage if it were your choice.

In episode 3 of the evo track battles, Richard Meaden takes the ultimate battle of the Porsche 911, the Carrera 4S v Carrera 2S. Who will win?!

Given that with the 911 the engine is in the wrong place, AWD makes it a bit less tail happy. Even with all the electronic voodoo and rear tires twice as wide as the front, the RWD 911 is still a car that will bite your head off.

When was the last time you actually drove a 911?

I've owned 15 of them - head's still on.

I probably don't know what I'm talking about because I haven't driven either of them but it seems to me that if they stuck the 911 engine and the technology bits in a Cayman it would be a superior car. Am I wrong?
