VIDEO: Are Infotainment Systems Getting TOO Complicated? Ford, Lincoln, Honda, Cadillac Owners Think So
If you've recently bought an all-new car, likely there's a strong possibility you also made sure to equip it well. It's not too often that folks buy "strippers" anymore.

And with all these options and pieces of technology, you soon find out that everything is configurable through the vehicle's infotainment display. Not only have those increased in size from four inches to eight and now 12, the systems have become quite complex. And whether it's COMAND, SYNC, UConnect or iDrive, there isn't an optimal way of doing this. That's because there's always some learning involved.

Some automakers make life easier with cleaner graphical user interfaces (GUI) while some like to complicate matters. One thing's certain though, some owners are NOT happy with this contemporary approach to simplification.

So, given the diversity of our audience, we turn to you to voice your opinions: have vehicles' infotainment displays become too complex and complicated?

Let us know your make/model and if you LIKE or DISLIKE your car's infotainment system.

Today's dashboards are loaded with electronics, but for many the wow factor fades and they can't get the darn things to work.

I have to say, iDrive went from a horrible gnarly beast to a very good system. It's not distracting and is simple to use once you spend a couple of days with it.

Displays haven't become too complicated, functionality has. But it's inevitable. In this day and age when smart phones and tablets are the technological rage, cars need to keep up to be competitive. Society is spoiled, plain and simple, with so much technology at our disposal. But that's progress and it's a necessary evil. Really no different than progress in all other technologies within a car.
