SPIED ON THE STREET! A Spy Catches The 2015 Hyundai Genesis On The Road For The FIRST Time — Too Sterile Or JUST Right?

SPIED ON THE STREET! A Spy Catches The 2015 Hyundai Genesis On The Road For The FIRST Time — Too Sterile Or JUST Right?
When it comes to an all-new product, we firmly believe it is best to see it in a multitude of environments, lighting and colors before really drawing a proper conclusion. Though cars are introduced in a static environment — an auto show — it's tough to get a feel for its design unless you see it on the road amongst other vehicles.

And don't even get me started on the palette. Colors make a BIG difference. It all comes down to whether a car looks good showing off its lines or if it should be hidden away with darker colors to block out the ugliness.

So when we receive spy photos from around the world, we are pretty eager to show you.

One of our best spies is Fred Khaz. Located in SoCal, Khaz comes across a plethora of cars undergoing development as SoCal is a hub for design centers, testing, and corporate headquarters.

The latest vehicle to get spied is the all-new, 2015 Hyundai Genesis. This is the first time we're seeing the vehicle on the road and sporting a silver paintjob it definitely makes its presence known.

That said, what do YOU think? Is its styling a bit too STERILE or is it JUST right in the looks department?

Yeah, I'd agree that it looks pretty decent from the front.

I think it looks very good from that angle.

Very nice, plenty of gravitas.

LIke I already said, I think it looks good. But maybe it's because of this blacked-out grille look. Looking back at the shots with the production grille, it looses its "menacing" touch these shots have. And, aft of the front grille/fascia, the rest of the car is pretty ordinary.

I saw this cat at Geneva Motor Show last month and must admit it is a real looker!

It looks much better in-person than at the pics!

Looks like a nice Audi, no hint of Korean in it at all.

Audi wishes they had a design like that. Oh wait, they do, its called Audi design and it was in use 5 years ago.

Understated elegance. Great job, Hyundai!

Understated elegance. Great job, Audi (and BMW, Lexus and whoever else sees their designs taped onto this thing).

the big improvement isn't the exterior. it's the interior build quality.
