This Isn't An April Fool's Joke — Build Your Own 2015 BMW M3/M4 On BMWUSA.Com! How Did YOU Spec YOURS?

You know, last April Fools Day I don't recall so many automakers going out of their way to produce such bogus press releases, Photoshopped images and God knows what else just to have a bit of fun at the expense of the poor souls who work in this industry.

I get a little bit of a kick out of it but after a certain point you have to say "Seriously?" Anyhow...

One thing that wasn't an April Fools Day joke was that BMW has finally let loose the full details on the 2015 M3/M4 as you can now build it on BMWUSA.com.

If you've been plugged into my latest commentary you'd already know by now that I think that the all-new M car is pretty much perfection. Of course, I have yet to confirm this by being behind the wheel but I will say, on paper, this car is looking pretty epic.

So when I saw BMW let it all hang out today I had to go build my own.

Unlike the trend of loading up cars to the gills, I went the other way. In fact, I wish I could get more crap taken OUT of it. This is how I did 'er up:

- M3 sedan
- Sakhir Orange exterior paint
- Cloth/leather combination (carbonstructure anthracite/black)
- Aluminum blade interior trim — I actually would prefer more no nonsense trim but it seems I don't have a choice
- Lighting package
- 19-inch black alloy wheels spoke style 437 M
- Adaptive M suspension
- Manual transmission

So, I've shown you mind. Now show me yours.

Where's a sport exhaust option? Unbelievable you need to select the $4300 Executive option to get satallite radio, an item standard on most $25k cars. Nevertheless, I'm very eager to test drive a manual and see if it's my next car

I checked the "steering wheel option" and the price ballooned to $95K.... what happened?

Sakir Orange w/ the Black alcantara cloth interior and aluminum trim .. 19" black wheels, adaptive m suspension, double clutch, harmon kardon, enahnced bluetooth & lighting package for only $71,850 ... That is less than I expected ... just amazing

$77050 - definitely impressed its less than my current m3 ( 2013 77195 )
also chose a sakhir orange coupe..
