Facelifted Mercedes-Benz B-Class Readies To Battle VW's Golf - Would It Sell Here?

These are the first pictures of the facelifted Mercedes-Benz B-class, which is expected to go on sale at the end of this year following its debut at the Paris motor show in October.

This model was seen benchmark testing against the current B-class, as well as a seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf.

Although only a minor facelift, new styling details include new headlight graphics, a more prominent front grille and a refreshed front bumper, which can be seen in these pictures. New taillight graphics also appear at the rear of the B-class, alongside a new rear bumper and new exhaust designs.

The B-class does not compete with Golf (A-class does that), but with Golf Plus. And soon it will have a real competitor from BMW, the 2-series Active Tourer. I expect BMW to win that match up.
