VIDEO: FIRST Clip Of The Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Hits The Net With Formula 1's Sebastian Vettel Behind The Wheel
Over the past 12 months it's been clear that Infiniti is trying to leverage its relationship with Red Bull Racing. You can't blame them. The company's Director of Performance, Sebastian Vettel, is a consecutive, four-time F1 champion and considering he could have a much longer shelf life, it appears the party may only be getting started.

As Infiniti seems to be finding its way, we aren't hating this newfound direction. Though we have to say it's not necessarily the most creative.

It could have been seen a mile away that Nissan's Infiniti would use the GT-R's jaw-dropping powertrain and all-wheel drive chassis to build a more potent Infiniti; however, is that what the market is truly demanding from the brand at this point? I am not so sure.

Every time we've asked YOU the response has been less than stellar. Granted, we all know that a Q50 GT-R would DESTROY anything in its path.

That said, check out the teaser clip from Infiniti as Vettel drives the Eau Rouge prototype car around the Millbrook Proving Grounds.

What happens when an impossible car meets an impossibly fast man? Watch four times F1™ World Champion and Infiniti Director of Performance, Sebastian Vettel put the Eau Rouge prototype through its paces.

Infiniti should've introduced this YEARS ago.

If they release this, I believe the hierarchy of the performance cars will be like,

1. Infiniti Eau Rouge
2. Lexus RC-F
3. BMW M3/M4
4. Audi RS4/RS5
5. Mercedes C63 AMG

WTF is the name eau rouge? They should use infinity R65 or something like that, short and distinctive not moulin rouge.

It's named after a section of a track. It's actually not an awful idea. Problem is no one can correctly pronounce it.

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Bengium is a Formula 1 track. Turns 3-4-5 are referred to as Eau Rouge , as being the trickiest part of the track.

I find it funny that the authors question why Infiniti is coming out with a car like this, when I'v witnessed comments on this website and others, suggesting that for Infiniti to be taken serious they need to make a R-spec vehicle or some other so-called constructive criticism. Yet when they do it's, "why are they making this car". I dont' get it.
