CAR WARS! REALISTIC or RIDICULOUS? Porsche 911 (991) GT3 vs. Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

These days it seems like when a publication rounds up a couple of cars and puts them head-to-head in a battle royale they're just bored. Take, for example, the BIG question that swirled the auto space a couple of years ago: WHICH was better, the BMW 1M or Porsche Cayman R?

For me, and anyone serious about a track car, it was a no contest win for the Cayman R.

It seems another BIG head-to-head may be brewing. That's because I've been seeing publications put the all-new Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 up against the likes of the all-new Porsche 911 (991) GT3.

A part of me wants to see this debate but another part asks if these two really are apples-to-apples. A Chevrolet Corvette Z06 I can see but a Z/28? I understand its track-focused and all but why wouldn't they bring out the no-longer-for-sale Ford Mustang Boss?

Oh-kay. I don't want to be a party pooper so I'll stop there.
