Audi A3 Named 2014 World Card of the Year
The Audi A3 has been named World Car of the Year at a ceremony held at the New York Motor Show, beating fellow finalists the BMW 4 Series and Mazda 3.

Auto Express editor-in-chief Steve Fowler and columnist Mike Rutherford are among the 69 international jurors voting in the Awards, now in their tenth year.

Commenting on the Award, Audi boss Rupert Stadler, said: “The Audi A6 was the first ever winner of this award and we are delighted that the Audi A3 has repeated that achievement. This major award win is an achievement that the whole company can celebrate”.

I'd choose the Mazda 3 sedan. Gorgeously designed inside and out, and cheaper than the A3.

I wish it had a ZF 9-speed auto. It's a lot of money for a turbo with a "Lurch-Box"(dual clutch auto). Colors are limited and dreadful also.

Just saw my second one parked today (first one was on the road). And just like the first one I saw, it elicited absolutely zero on the interesting scale. It looks chubby and stubby and not much different than a Jetta or Passat. I even drove around it to get a really good look and it was seriously just blah.
