BEHIND THE SCENES: The Making Of The BMW Vision Future Luxury — Detail, Detail, Detail!

If you're a lover of cars, and especially concepts, one thing you HAVE TO appreciate is the way these vehicles are conceived. Of course anyone can have a good idea or design but then to translate it into reality is a completely different challenge.

With the release of information telling us all about the all-new BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept, BMW has also provided us with some great images of the behind the scenes work of what appears to be the BMW design team, which is headed by the Agent 007 of auto design, Adrian van Hooydonk.

Check out these GREAT shots below of the vehicle's sketches as well as van Hooydonk's team working on delivering the concept, behind the scenes.

I'd say there are some particularly fascinating captures in this series of photographs.

Hate this fad of replacing a middle seat in the back with a useless tunnel. Reminds me of long trips back from the mountains next to an annoying bundle of skis.

This is all very nice and fine but what is the likelihood of this coming to production? I am befuddled with this presentation of a concept that people swoon over but, it never reaches production. Can a BMW executive explain this to me?
