NEW YORK AUTO SHOW: Has Audi's BEST Interior Stranglehold FINALLY Been Broken? Check Out This Mercedes S-Class' Interior By Designo

As we've reported for quite some time, Audi has been the reigning champ when it came to shipping gorgeous interiors. Ranging from its bargain basement cars to the top of the line W12 A8L, the four rings always did something far and beyond its competition.

BUT, all good things MUST come to an end. We're thinking that **may** have happened.

Case in point: Check out the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class that appeared at the 2014 New York Auto Show. Featuring an interior done by the company's exclusive Designo department, you'll note that its a two-tone testament to design.

In an unusual move, the seats are dark while the carpets and door panels are light — usually it's the other way around.

So, we've got to ask: has Audi's magic touch FINALLY been ended by the likes of the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class?

That steering wheel still bothers me.
At least they should offer the S63 Coupe steering wheel as an option.

The color scheme is painfully grotesque but THAT is how Mercedes buyers (rappers, ballers, drug dealers, and pimps) like their MB products.

Personally, I don't care for any light colors in the interior. Had that before. Nightmare to keep clean. Give me the browns and darker.

This interior is quite hideous. Audi still makes far classier and better interiors than this Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

The Audi A8 Exclusive Concept interior is still miles ahead of Mercedes-Benz's best Designo interior.

The clown-face steering wheel (look at is straight on with the dials directly behind it) still makes me laugh every time I look at it....the dar blue seats look like someone took them out of another car and plopped them in their Benz, they don't match anything else
