WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Agents Get Inside Scoop On Next-Gen BMW 7-Series!
It's been a busy weekend here at AutoSpies.com. Though we would have loved to lounge around and chow on some chocolate and bunny cakes, we had a lot of work to do. Between trying to deliver you with the best 2014 New York Auto Show coverage AND the debut of the all-new BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept, we were doing a bit of juggling.

Now if you tuned in yesterday, you would have seen BMW's latest concept. This is a big deal for the company. Not only does it showcase its latest technological innovation — in terms of displays, software and carbon fiber — it also is a look into the future of BMW's next-gen, large luxury sedan, the 7-Series.

BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept

Inside sources have given us the nod and you can expect the interior to look very similar to what you see here. Of course it will be diluted a little bit but expect many of the same elements.

Take, for example, the multifunction video screen for the front passenger, which has been seen in BMW's other Vision concepts. This will be an industry first and BMW has said with its Vision concepts that this will allow the passenger and driver to interact by sending information back and forth to each other. In addition, expect to see the tablet device in the back seat make it to production.

That said, does THIS sound impressive to YOU? We want to know what YOU think BMW should do for its next-gen 7-Series to make it a Mercedes-Benz S-Class killer.

At least Hyundai and Kia won't be able to knock this design off for at least next two years.

Considering the 7 Series is getting an update soon, that means this new concept won't come to fruition in production for several years in the future. I'm sure by then, the S-Class will be preparing yet another significant update, if not a completely new model.

BMW has a history of showing flashy and interesting concept models only to create a much watered-down production model that is missing some signature features from the concept model on which it is based on.

Anyway, by the time the new 7-Series is launched with this technology and interior seen here, Mercedes-Benz will be well on its way to updating the S-Class which, if history is the case, will blow away its competitors far newer flagship offerings. Then a brand-new S-Classs will be launched and the competition will fall further behind in sales.

Every company waters down its concept when it goes to production. It's just a matter of how far they go.

She really should put on a seatbelt.

Oh and the new 7 series is going to be more of the same. It is not going to be flashy. It is going to be conservative.

BMW blitzkrieg. New 9-series sedan? 8-series coupe and/or gran coupe? X7 and new 7-series coming soon. Lesson learned from 2007 pulling plug on X7 and CS concept.

Not liking the direction they are taking. Something cheap-ish about it. Bin it I say. They still have plenty time to come up with a better one.
