NEW YORK AUTO SHOW: BMW Brings The BIG Guns Out With THIS Performance Parts Equipped 5-Series
In the modding community, it seems there are several camps with completely different trains of thought. There's the all show crowd that you see flexing in Starbucks parking lots, there's the performance crowd that will do whatever it takes to get a quicker quarter mile time and, finally, you have to the OEM crowd — keeping it all in the family.
If the latter is your thing then BMW certainly has something up your alley at the New York Auto Show. That would be a highly modified BMW 5-Series that's sporting the Individual treatment. In addition to the special paint, interior and trim, the car is loaded to the gills with a slew of M Performance parts.

Some examples include the side skirts and rear lip spoiler in carbon fiber. On the inside you'll note that the steering wheel is done up in Alcantara and the shifter also gets the carbon fiber treatment.
While we don't think anyone would option their Moonstone painted 5-Series this way, we do think that this show car is a pretty nice way to physically display the parts catalogue.

i have an f10 lci and i love that car, but that has got to be the ugliest interior combo possible.
i have cinnamon brown interior with dark wood trip (almost looks black except in bright daylight) and love it.

This interior looks hideous. What's with the highly customized interiors looking even worse than the stock versions?
First the hideous Mercedes-Benz S-Class Designo interior with blue seats that don't match anything else in the interior and now this awful BMW 5-Series Individual interior with a terrible leather and wood interior combination.
Looks like Audi Exclusive is still miles ahead of BMW Individual and Mercedes-Benz Designo when it comes to creating unique, tasteful and high-quality interiors.

carbon, wood, and aluminum all in one console...that's like wearing army boots, a tutu, and a football helmet.
the leather looks great, though!

How about ditching the wood and going with a nice Bamboo?
I don't think the "chocolate" interior works with a silver exterior.
