NEW YORK AUTO SHOW In Review: Did You Miss Any Of The Best Of The Best?

NEW YORK AUTO SHOW In Review: Did You Miss Any Of The Best Of The Best?

The New York Auto Show is in the rearview mirror and as we reflect on the last days of the show you have to wonder what was the most difficult aspect to deal with?

The travel?  The crowds? All of those beautiful models? The deadlines? Nope, that is all in a day's work for the Spies.  The hardest aspect actually is choosing what is the best of the best.

What cars will make it into the books as great show car, and who will be the next classic.  Now we are aren't saying that a little eye candy next to that future classic doesn't hurt.  But hey we have to take one for the team every once in a while.

So did the Big Apple rock your boat? Did you see the next addition to your stable in the gallery?  I you ask  me that new Murano kept bringing me back time and time aqain. What was the best in show for you?  Take a bit of time with us an recap the best the New York Auto Shoe had to offer.

Are you serious? Cadillac showed that Elmiraj concept at the New York Auto Show? They showed this like what, last year? And STILL showing this? Without really talking much about the production model?

This is practically the reason why Lexus, Acura and Cadillac will always be nothing but just brands that are slightly better than Buick. I guess they wish they were competing with something like BMW, Audi, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz and such luxurious European brands, but we all know Lexus, Acura and Cadillac are nowhere near them. Acura is still showing the concept model of Acura NSX, without talking much about the production model, and why the hell is Lexus still showing LFA in their commercial? When the car is practically all sold out now? And is also now an old car in today's standard?

And here, we have Cadillac Elmiraj concept. Uh, since Cadillac ruined the design of XTS, which looks like it was meant for female buyers and also the design of ATS Coupe, which also looks like a chick car, I don't really think I can expect a lot from Cadillac, in terms of the production model of Elmiraj.

I believe Lexus, Acura and Cadillac need another 10 more years in order to even be considered "valuable" in the luxury car segment. And that is, only if they actually show some great looking cars for 10 consecutive years.

What's that? What about Lincoln you say? Isn't it just Ford's Buick?

It's pretty funny how always kids like you come out and all you can say is just "oh, you are delusional!" "Oh! You are dumb!"

Is that all you can say? But I'm sorry, what can I say? Trust hurts they say, right? Don't blame me for speaking the truth, kid.

Actually, that's all I wanted to say. Nothing more. It's not worth having a debate when your mind is already made up. I said what I needed to. Thanks. Bye.
