With Every Other German Automaker Coming Out With Sports Activity Coupe Should Porsche Join The Party?

While the BMW X6 is far from being everyone’s (or anyone's) favorite car, it’s also very hard to argue with its huge success. So much so, that Mercedes-Benz’s newly introduced Concept Coupe SUV and confirmed production MLC model are pretty much copying what once was BMW’s unique idea for a sports activity coupe. BMW copied itself with the dwarfed version – the X4 – and Audi has been rumored to be working on a Q4 or Q6 as well.

So, why should Porsche be left out of the German sports activity party?

I think everyone should come out with a waste of resources like this. Why stop at Porsche. How about Bugatti?

You know, if it's profitable, then why not. As annoying as it's getting, if people are buying them, then why not make them. The evolution of the "car" continues and that's really a good thing. HOWEVER, redundancy within a brand's lineup shouldn't occur...*cough* BMW..*cough*

These SUV coupes like other highly styled cars are a reflection of their owners...look at me, I'm special, I'm care free, I like style over practicality, I have enough expendable income to buy what I want,
etc etc. This is not a criticism but an observation on our "me" generation and culture.

Why not, they definitely compete with the "coupe styled" sedan segment (CLS, 640/650, A7) with the Panamera.

As of right now, the only "coupe" SAV is the X6, and I'm sure the MLC concept will sell just as well. Why not take a piece of the sales pie?
