SPIED: REFRESHED Audi S6 Spotted For The FIRST Time — Set To Debut At END Of Summer
When the Audi S6 and S7 debuted not too long ago, they were loved for their peppy, bi-turbo V8 motors and dual-clutch gearboxes. Nothing too new there. Audi was doing what it always did best. Now though it needs to freshen these babies up to keep up with the evolving market.

Though the modifications are expected to be relatively light, the S6 seen here is reported to have been updated.

Expect for a new set of LEDs up front — and possibly at the back — to bring it up to speed with the A8 flagship. In addition, as with most revamps, there will likely be an updated front and rear valence. Rumor has it that the vehicle's infotainment system, MMI, will get an update and we're crossing our fingers it does. The current system has become brutal to use.

The two most critical changes will be an alleged power bump of about 15 horsepower and finer tuning of the motor eek out more efficiency.

Stay tuned for more as word on the street suggests the new S6 will appear at this year's Paris Motor Show — one of our favorites.

A facelifted version of the Audi S6 has been spotted performance testing at the Nürburgring.

The most significant difference on this new model comes with Audi’s LED headlights, only previously having been available on the larger A8.

Other updates are predicted to be subtle. Tweaked bumpers and modified side skirts make up bodywork changes, alongside an altered Audi grille.

OMG -- what's it going to look like? The anticipation is too great! Oh yeah, I forgot. It's an Audi so it will look like every other Audi being produced. Maybe they'll really get wild and add another LED in their DRLs.

Right...maybe Audi just meant refreshed wheel design...more believable and noticeable

And maybe you'll go back to your Toyota wanabe cars.

And maybe you'd like to know that I have leased 8 different Audis over the years and currently drive a 2010 Audi 4 Avant and a 2012 A6 3.0. I'm a diehard Audi fan, but for Christ's sake -- even I think they all look the same!

"Refreshed" as in: I added a few more cubes of ice to your glass of water, so it's refreshed now.

I find the A6 to be a delightful product, but I agree with @Dexter1. Audi needs an entirely new design language and not just a mild nip and tuck of the current one.

The original A4 was a gorgeous design break from the hideous 80/90 that preceded it. It was a refreshing to look at as the Audi Fox had to have been in its day relative to the other cars on the road. Audi needs that kind of fresh sheet design. The fact that Mercedes sells 3 E Class sedans per A6 suggests that Audi is missing the ball. The fact that the Genesis outsells the A6 by 50% should be a signpost for VWAG.

New design language expected to debut in A4 and Q7 as already noted in the other thread you commented on.

It's not like other luxury brands go crazy in their mid cycle facelifts. The only real exception was the E class but that was more of fixing a mistake rather than a standard update.
