It Might Be Nuts, But Should MINI Consider Building A Pickup?

MINI has unveiled a two-seater pickup concept based on the Paceman. Called the MINI Paceman Adventure, it’s essentially a design study created by the BMW Group’s young apprentices and their instructors.

Using the Cooper S Paceman as their starting point, this latest creative project features a shortened cabin, the rear seats having been removed to make room for an open load area.

Completing the pickup-look is a modified chassis with improved ground clearance, apparently making the Paceman Adventure suitable for “driving on gravel roads, through muddy tracks or on desert trails.”

Put some rear facing seats in the bed and call it "brat". Oh wait.. Subaru already did this 30 years ago.

I dunno, the Subaru Baja developed a cult like following...maybe this one could too...

Maybe. Probably not, but maybe.

Although a Paceman with increased ground clearance wouldn't be a bad thing.
