Not long ago we wrote wondering why and how Scion still managed to remain in business. Wouldn’t it be best for Toyota’s youth division to shut its doors, turn the FR-S into the Toyota GT86, and call it a day? Cars like the xB, xD, and tC simply aren’t competitive anymore. The iQ? Don’t even ask. Apparently Scion executives know this and now they’re out to do something about. According to a new report, the first of three new Scions will arrive in 2015.

They do have the hottest entry sports car that puts much more expensive Camaros and Mustangs to shame. It is just a question if product overlap with Toyota brand models makes money sense.

Clearly you have not driven the FRS. It is slow and tail happy, but very expensive for what you get. A base V6 Mustang with a live axle is faster around a track. A Mini is better at the track. A GTI is better. Genesis coupe...

And it's not available as a convertible which removes it from consideration. Scions have gotten too big (the iQ is the exception, but it's a farce), and too expensive. Scion needs to go back to basics.
