VIDEO: The MOST In-Depth Walkaround Of The 2015 Lexus NX YET! DETAIL, DETAIL, DETAIL!
If you look around YouTube, you'll find plenty of overly produced automotive content. From video reviews to promotional clips with incredibly bad voiceovers, you've got the lot.

What makes the Internet such an interesting place though is when you come across interesting content that may not have the best quality production BUT has a tremendous amount of valuable content — especially for buyers. That's where Saabkyle comes in.

He's usually one of the first people to essentially do a thorough walkthrough of any all-new automobile. I mean, he literally demos everything inside and out. It's as if you're having the car delivered to you.

2014 New York Auto Show

That said, he managed to get his hands on a 2015 Lexus NX that happened to be in town for a Lexus-sponsored golf outing.

As seen in the cars we shot and brought to you FIRST at the 2014 New York Auto Show, it's clear this is a pre-production car — some elements may change.

Sit back and enjoy the show!

Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! YouTube's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and personal, in depth look at the prototype 2015 Lexus NX. A more complete "In Depth Review" will follow with they begin to hit showrooms later this year.

MSRP pricing for the NX has not been released. I will update this as soon as it's available.

During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I actually like the exterior, but my problem with Lexus (and to some degree Acura) is the interiors look like only slightly scaled up Toyota (and Honda) interiors. If anything they should make a trim, not a whole separate division.

The only two I've seen that have a unique interior design that feels more luxurious are the LS and GS. You can tell they share some parts (it'd be stupid not to), but the interiors are unique to those two cars.

At the auto show, I could not keep a straight face as the spokesmodel hyped up the design. It looked even worse in person. The length from the front of the wheel arch to the end of the front bumper, and the almost nonexistent space from the rear of the front wheel arch to the front door makes it look highly disproportioned.

My friend who also went to the NY show had felt the same way and he said this NX looked worse in person and fact really bad in person. Some cars look good in pics and some look better in person and this NX doesn't look good either way. It is so distorted and are a mis-mash of odd, poorly thought out lines and dents that don't compliment the car. Lexus is obviously trying way to hard to be different but in this case it's horrible different like this NX and many of the new Lexus just to make their cars stand out.

To each their own.

Personally, I dug it. A lot.

This is the same type of criticism that folks lobbed against the Jeep Cherokee. Seems to be doing quite well.

I do admit. I am astounded at how many Cherokees I am seeing on the road. I still can't get on board with the design, and I love what Jeep continues to do with the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler.

@jeffgall

You can thank Agent 001 for that prediction ;)

I think it is hideous, but I predict it will perform very well in the dealer. It does betray a bit what it really is: a Lexus-ized RAV4, but the RAV4 is a pretty smooth product with high quality. I just don't happen to like Toyota/Lexus styling. I would take this over the even more hideous RDX that also screams out that it's a CRV. That said, I predict the Lincoln MKC will become the segment star pretty quickly. It's attractive, based on the excellent Escape, and will hit dealers with very attractive lease offers.

MKC is DOA.

@Agent00R on the contrary. We have significant inquiry on it.

Outstanding modern styling that makes other SUV's look like last century designs. Interior and exterior is a game changer. I imagine the NX could jump to the top luxury SUV sales spot in NA, but only if production can manage to keep up.

Love this NX...looks cool, esp in F trim. I don't even see how the Jeep can compare. That thing is just ugly. I walked past one in a parking lot a few weeks ago and thought it looked 'old' and not like any kind of 'design-forward' vision.

I just have to laugh at this 'darringer' character that blasts everything because it is based on what he seems to be claiming is a lesser platform, then he touts the new Lincoln, based on the massively recalled Escape platform. I have a friend who has an Escape as a company vehicle...that thing is in the shop every other week. His company has to rent him another vehicle while it is offline. This has been happening across the board with the Escape, and now his company s dropping it as an option.
