As it's been written and discussed numerous times, there's not quite any other car company like Lamborghini. The vehicle's designs are stunning — sometimes overkill — but you cannot deny that every single one isn't poster worthy.

One such ride is the Diablo. Though it had its heydey in the 1990s, it had a tough act to follow in form of the legendary Countach. Equipped with a mid-mounted V12 good for just under 500 horsepower, this was an unheard of amount of power in the early 1990s. Also keep in mind that this vehicle wasn't equipped with all the techno wizardry that ALL of today's autos have.

If you overcooked it, you were going to eat it in a big way.

To fully comprehend what I am on about, check out Jay Leno's Garage, where Leno recently had the chance to take a 1991 Diablo out for a ride.

Re: "...but you cannot deny that every single one isn't poster worthy..." -- If you visit Labo's web site today, you better have Transformers posters on your bedroom walls. Otherwise, you might conclude that not every one of their cars are "poster worthy."

The Diablo did what it needed to do and that was to supplant the garish disco queen the Countach had become. It was a sign Lamborghini would not die and it put the brand back on track to being taken seriously. Its looks have not aged as well as have had the Miura and Islero. Fortunately, it did not become a disco queen with JC Whitney worthy looking plastic body trim.

Looks like a 1989 300Z now. Hard on the eyes now.
