STUD OR DUD? Lexus GS-F Prototype SPIED In Germany

It's been a while since I've heard or seen any new information about the Lexus GS. The car has a new chassis, a new grill, and a new F-Sport. In fact, the only thing it's missing is an F.

An F, that looks like it's nearly finished.

Compared to the other F designs, this one seems restrained. It isn't as though the IS-F was some transformed, mutant car borne from showering and IS-F with gamma radiation or anything, but it felt intimidating. Still, the GS F isn't going to be mistaken for 350. The rear spoiler and the front lip are a dead giveaway.

The German car fanboys will sneer but the ISF was a great reason NOT to buy a BMW M3. The Lexus face aside...this GSF will be a great product and it will sell.

Are two of the four tail pipes fake like the ISF?

@jeffgall

Considering BMW is piping sound into its cars, I don't think you can really make fun of the silly exhaust tips.

Oh, and you realize a lot of the Euro automakers have tips that only become functional over certain RPMs, right?

@00R

What's the big deal about piping sound into the car. For those who want to be more attached to the car, instead of dead silence, it's a plus. I love hearing the engine and exhaust note.

Regarding pipes that are only functional over a certain RPM, they are still functional when exhaust volumes are higher and extra flow is needed. Unlike the ISF pipes that had nothing attached to them at all

Thank goodness it doesn't have that infamous ugly, gigantic, goofy front grill and dents and lines all over the place that make no sense like the many of the new Lexus models.

I actually like the spindle grille. And, I am not the only one.

I love these new Lexus' especially considering how boring the exterior was on previous GS. My favorite so far is the GS F sport which has the looks so if the GSF has the performance this will be Lexus' first sedan that could compete with the big boys in performance because the ISF couldn't compete with the M3 or C63.
