SPIED: Jaguar's CX17 Caught Undergoing Development
Jaguar Land Rover's CX17 is one of those products that could go down in history. For what, you ask? Well, in this humble writer's opinion, I think it's one of the best looking sport-utility vehicles I've seen.

Obviously there's a ways to go until it sees the light of day.

We know this because the spy shots we keep coming across depict an SUV that hasn't revealed its true shape yet. First it was seen sporting a jacked-up XF body and now we've seen it wearing what appears to be the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque's clothes.

Though we expect the Evoque and CX17 to do a bit of component sharing, we didn't know this kind of thievery would be involved! We kid.

All jokes aside, to us it's clear that this vehicle is still having its chassis perfected. When we start to see an actual body then we can start getting a bit more juiced up for its arrival.

This will be the vehicle that saves Jaguar. They desperately need more volume in the USA. Their volume is so low that dealers are getting itchy to drop stores. If done right, this could triple their sales. That would mean the CX17 would have a volume of 35K which is quite doable IF IF IF Jaguar prices it right and abandons the Porsche-like run up for options like they have done on the F Type. This at a base of $45K and topping at $75K would be gravy for dealers.

Jaguar has built this vehicle on a Land Rover Discovery and the larger dimensions are clearly visible.

If done right price wise, as they have done with the XF, XJ and F-Type right?
Ratan Tata should execute a deep cleaning procedure in his company management if He wants Jaguar to succeed someday.-

@xjprou Jaguar's problem is that they do not have a "real" mainstream car maker behind them. Tata makes cars for people who cannot afford anything better; therefore Jaguar has no parts bin to raid. Ford had the right idea with Lincoln and Jaguar sharing platforms, but their execution was terrible. What Jaguar needs is a Lexus RX, but they don't have a Camry to base it on. The beauty of Lexus' success with the RX is that it's sort of a jacked up, AWD Camry with an SUV body. That's pure profit.

Jaguar needs a reinvention where it comes out as being more British than ever, with pricing 10% BELOW the German equivalent.
