Will- Just reporting the news. Most people think that American cars are all American, well actually Toyota has a lot of American content too. More than most think. This was a more of a pro Toyota article. Take em while I give em out.

To be fair, a more accurate reflection would be to go by model, not brand. Each model's content varies far too greatly. A Camry is going to be completely different from an LS. A Fusion is going to be different from a Mustang.

I see that the article is sales-weighted percentages, which is at least something fair. If Ford, GM or Chrysler actually sold anything besides pick-ups (which I believe are still pretty much domestically produced) how might those numbers change?

And I read the article fast, so I could be wrong, but I dont believe that the "Chrysler Group" includes Mercedes, which automatically shows a bias. Of course with a name like Level Field Institute, what could you expect but just a little bias.

Plano, that was funny. I argue your points often, but I do appreciate you wit and candor, and always look forward to your articles and posts. Maybe 'cuz secretly I love A4's. (Dont tell Toyota)

Plano, I appreciate this type of info regardless to what the others say. It doesn't make me excited about Toyota but it's always interesting to know.
