VIDEO: Is LEXUS Building What May Be The BEST Driving SUV Or Is It Just HYPE About The 2015 NX?
For us here at AutoSpies, there's no question that one of the most intriguing stories of the year will be the all-new Lexus NX. That's because of two factors.
One, we know Lexus well and it's a company that obsesses over delivering a quality product. Since it's gotten over the recall woes from years ago, we think that the "L" has been doing a great job with its all-new products.

Second, the company knows how to deliver an SUV the marketplace wants. Just look at the RX. Now the company is coming in at a lower barrier of entry, which is a very fertile market at the moment.
While a lot of folks have shrugged off the NX as simply a reskinned RAV4, or are dismissive of its "look," I think they're missing the boat. That's because we've seen what Lexus is capable of when it wants to be the best.
And if the clip below is any indication,
it sounds like Lexus is trying to develop the BEST driving SUV. Are YOU buying it?

Everyone wants to build the "best driving" whatever. No new claims here. I'm sure the NX will handle better than the RX, though.

Biggest problem Lexus seems to have is with underpowered milquetoast entry level models like the CT, the discontinued HS, and the IS250. The new IS looks great but why oh why does it still have that old slow engine in it?
The new NX as the best driving SUV? Doubt it. It doesn't need to be. Nobody would expect that it would. But the NX could be what propels Lexus forward at the entry level in a way that inspires driver passion for something other than reliability.

By the way, that camouflaged vehicle better not be what ends up on showroom floors, because it clearly does not look as good as the white one shown in the auto show photos. That crazy mesh spindle grill with the LED headlights looks pretty good and sporty on the NX:)
