Facelifted Audi A7 Revealed! Features Include Revised LED Headlight and Tailight Design And Updated MMI Infotainment System
Audi has given the A7 Sportback a minor facelift, focused on updating the five-door coupe’s looks, tweaking its engines and offering new technology.

The more powerful S7 Sportback variant will likewise benefit from the model’s first visual refresh since launching in 2010. This includes the introduction of the German brand’s more angular Singleframe grille, updated exhausts, as well as more aggressive, squared-off front and rear bumpers.

Aside from these small changes, the major exterior development is the addition of LED technology as standard. Customers are also able to option Matrix LED headlights designed to maximize visibility while reducing glare for oncoming vehicles. These come with dynamic turn signals that are fitted as standard on the taillights.

Interior styling changes have likewise been kept to a minimum, with an identical layout but a fresh choice of five colour options that extends to the seats and new interior materials, such as an aluminium and Beaufort walnut inlay alongside Valcona leather.

The 2015 A7 and S7 will feature a revised top-spec infotainment system, too. Called MMI Navigation plus with MMI touch, this latest generation technology includes a Nvidia-developed graphics processor and is paired with Audi connect, which links the car to the internet via LTE high-speed date transmission. On top of this, there’s Audi phone box to improve mobile reception via the antenna and a Bang & Olufsen sound system is available as well.

Under the skin, Audi will initially offer two petrol and three diesel engines in the A7 Sportback, with revised power outputs ranging from 215bhp to 328bhp. When paired to front-wheel drive, the entry-level 3.0-litre TDI will return over 60mpg while emitting a claimed 122g/km of CO2. For the S7 Sportback, the range-topping 4.0 TFSI petrol engine has been carried over, with power rising to 444bhp.

When it comes to getting this power down, the 316bhp 3.0 TDI biturbo powertrain features an eight-speed tiptronic transmission, however all other models will use a seven-speed S tronic gearbox. This includes front-wheel drive versions, with the redeveloped dual-clutch unit replacing the eight-speed multitronic CVT.

Some engine configurations will also benefit from new lightweight brakes, and there are further weight saving measures in the chassis, which is made from a combination of aluminium and steel.

The revised A7 is due to arrive in showrooms towards the end of this year. We’ll keep you posted with any further updates, including full UK prices and specifications when they are announced nearer to launch.

Minor changes but makes the car look more modern.
The interior on the other hand looks dated...
I was in a rental last week and thought the interior was much worse than the current GS350.

Exterior tweaks look great and the interior looks GORGEOUS, with it well organized. The interior contains the normal high quality craftsmanship Audi is known for.

Audi seems to be one of the last bastions of good clean style.

Just like modern design, it's handsome and sleek, but you walk away feeling...well, not a whole lot. It IS better than the TT front-end.

I love the first two-thirds of this car, even more so with the facelift. But I still can't look at the rear-end without thinking it looks like a bloated, ugly mess. The rear-end looks like it melted or a Salvador Dali painting. It just doesn't work at all for me.

If it were more of a notchback, with more sleek taillights, I'd love it. I think the A6 is a much more cohesive design, with the added bonus of being almost identical underneath and $10K less.

The front of the car looks great but the back doesn't flow with the rest of the car.
The CLS and the bmw gran coupe have better rear styling.
Interior needs an update badly. The GS350 has a much sleeker and modern interior.
I've been in both so I know what I'm talking about.

I have 2012 A8L and the interior looks extremely dated next to my parents 2014 S550.
The nav/mmi looks like an aftermarket unit.
It's my only complaint about my Audi.

I still think what should be one of Audi's best looking models is totally ruined by that saggy sad looking back end.

Excellent tweaking of an already highly-regarded exterior design. The interior is still as luxurious and well-laid out ergonomically as ever.

Audi's new, differentiated and aggressive design language has come through beautifully on new models such as the upcoming TT (more conservative than Audi initially wanted) and the A3 Clubsport Concept.

I have very high hopes for the upcoming A4 and Q7 given that they have been in development for such a long time.

Audi knows the new design language is of utmost importance and will not disappoint.

I love the front and interior but the hoodie back has got to go. It keeps the car from looking upscale.....

i loved the old one, and it looks like they only updated the light graphics.

The interior isn't as luxurious or modern as my 5 series LCI. the nav screen is awkward as small. and the dash layout looks a bit dated.

I'd still probably take this over a 5/5gt but not over a 6gc which for me is the most interesting and has the nicest design inside out.
