Chevrolet Hard At Work On Next Generation Corvette - What Could They Improve On?

Chevrolet is currently planning to introduce a new generation of the Corvette as the model in question will be making its way onto the market over the following years.

The new generation of the Chevrolet Corvette hasn’t been around for that much but that isn’t stopping General Motors into starting the development of the future version of this model. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet but according to a recent report, published by Freep, work has already begun on the next generation of the sports car. Our source is citing Mark Reuss, the General Motors global product chief.

Corvette should become a three-model brand sold through Cadillac dealers. Imagine a Corvette Manta Ray that targets the Boxster/Cayman, the Stingray against the 911, and then a halo Corvette on top.

Exterior design of this generation was superb in my opinion. I think GM just needs to update it with the times. - IE: keep it up to date.
This generation really is superb.

@ Paradox

I must respectfully disagree. I hate the look of the current gen Vette. While I the performance is amazing/$$$, this gen Vette looks like GM just took design cues from other high-performance cars and grafted them onto the car.

To me, the Corvette had a more organic design. Yes, it still has tons of Vette heritage, but seems more like Mecha-Godzilla instead of the real thing.

You must not have actually BEEN IN the current gen 'Vette. The materials are definitely on par with it's competitors. The cabin is greatly improved this gen.

Pictures on the internet definitely don't do it justice.
