Study Shows If You Are Worried About Resale Forget That Luxury Vehicle You Need A Truck Instead

We all know it – after we buy a new car, its value over the years dramatically drops – but there are models that manage to retain more of their resale value than others.

According to a recent study made in the US by auto website CarGurus.com, when it comes to buying premium autos the customer should expect a huge loss of value over the years, while the well known rugged pickup trucks, famous for their sturdy construction – generally fare a lot better.

Funny how the price of gas changes things, back in 2008 to 2010 dealers were giving trucks away. Resale values were on the floor.

Yep, after 12 months and 29,000 miles, we just traded in our truck for a new one with only an additional $30 per month added to the payment.

I'm just waiting for Ford to bring in a 6 cylinder diesel, like the Ram.
