The other day, we provided you with some details regarding the possibility of a production version of the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge concept. This concept is powered by a tuned version of the Nissan GT-R’s insane engine, and is said to produce some 560 horses. If Porsche get do it and sell them, perhaps Infinity was be successful with Godzilla engines in grocery getter cars.

I imagine that that engine will be tuned up or down depending on the model. Say what you will about Infiniti but that powertrain is a beast. They're now going to put it in a tuxedo but it will still be a beast. Nobody's going to be laughing when it comes to serious driving of these new cars.

You all realize there's more to the GT-R than just engine right. They didn't say anything about putting the drivetrain in any other model which is really the essential part of the GT-R. In other words, the GT-R isn't a GT-R because of the engine, it is what it is because of the drivetrain first.

I'm sure we'll be called stupid again, but Infiniti's woes cannot be solved by stuffing the GTR engine into their ugly line of cars.
