In Ontario, Canada, if you're caught driving 50 kph (31 mph) over the limit, you're subject to a $10,000 fine, summary roadside license suspension and vehicle impounding. That's right: Guilty on-site, and you have to go to court to prove you're innocent.

BTW, they have a Conservative government. Let's not paint traffics laws and policies as "Liberals vs Conservatives" issues. That's a red herring.

Looks like you either once again grabbed the wrong headline or are just trolling for web hits?

The title should read, "How Soon Until The Conservatives Here Jump On That Revenue Wagon"

LOL - - - You signature always makes me laugh since no one on this site has more hidden intentions and agenda's that you. Good thing we have 001 to add a little balance to this site.

What's the penalty to bribe a politician, or to buy one? Should be much steeper, right?

Ummm... I don't want to read about Liberals or Conservatives. I come to this site to read about CARS.

I'm outta here, and for good. Plenty of other car sites that are perfectly ready to give me what I want.

Most well managed websites discourage political discussion, this is not one of them (in both instances). Here 009 encourages political commentary seeing himself as the second coming of Jerry Springer. When you are not creating car news, just reporting what other sites/magazines are doing, you have to try what you can to generate web hits.

"...How Soon Until The Liberals Here Jump On That Revenue Wagon?..."

1. Why is a car web site trying to get political?
2. Why is Autospies.com a right wing, regressive/conservative yahoo, teanut, Fox News watching, Limbaugh listening, Washington Times reading nutcase website. This is a website about cars. Metal, glass, plastic, leather, and rubber things....cars. Since when do liberals or conservative nutcases have a unique point of view on....cars??

Conservatives generally believe in freedom. It's the liberals that typically want to control every aspect of our lives, especially the confiscation of our money through fines, taxes and the like. 009 is right on this one and anyone with half a brain could see it. Nearly everything runs on politics. Even the car world.
