SPIED: Mercedes-Benz's X6M Wannabe, The MLC 63 AMG, Is Nabbed During Testing

In the past we've posted threads here on AutoSpies that may have went something along the lines of "[Product 'X'] Hearts [Product 'Y']" as its design may seem a bit too close for comfort. While we've seen some serious lovefests over the years, nothing comes close to Mercedes' latest vehicle, the MLC, which is a dead ringer for the BMW X6.

To think, not so long ago everyone was criticizing the controversial BMW sport-utility vehicle.

As I happen to like the X6, I am actually looking forward to what the three-pointed star can bring to the table. And, it wouldn't be much of a rivalry if there wasn't an AMG versus M battle. That's just what's going to happen too.

In the latest series of spy photographs coming from across the pond, it's clear that Mercedes is fixing up an MLC AMG for our consumption. Note the larger wheels/tires and quad-tipped exhaust? Although it's covered up like an Amish girl, the tell tale signs are very clear.

I guarantee you the new ML Coupe will look BETTER than this new X6 from all angles.

How do you figure that one? It will take the styling cues from the ML and the CLS and combine into one . The current ML is not that attractive where as the CLS is pretty sharp. This X6 is the benchmark, and hope the competition can bring the performance to match.
