Soooo not impressed by the new M cars. I used to love them, sorry to say it but BMWS have lost their luster.

Wow on the pictures! You've managed to get the color just right as the Sakhir orange so commonly looks more red in other photos. Eagerly await your review. I'm a bit disappointed in the color choices overall-- don't see the gray option in any of your outdoor photos, but if I were to order one, I'd get the gray with black/sakhir orange extended leather interior as shown in what appears to be a flash indoor shot. It really does look orange on the interior in your photos-- I really would prefer a red/black two tone interior, but BMW hasn't offered it in a while. I think the Sakhir orange exterior is beautiful, but wouldn't want to own one -- too much attention. Yellow and blue are ugly and they've had trouble with these two colors going back to Laguna Seca Blue and whatever they called the yellow on the E46 M3. BMW Phoenix yellow is a good color, but it's individual only. On these M3/M4 cars, the white looks good too. I currently drive a Jerez Black E90 M3 and it's a great color-- surprised they don't offer it now-- hard to keep clean, but it's blue and sometimes purple in certain light. Interesting that press cars always have carbon brakes.

clarification-- Phoenix may have been the ugly one on the E46-- Dakar was a nice yellow on the E36. Bottom line, don't like yellow with golden or greenish tinting- pure bright yellow like Ferrari/Lamborghini colors are nicer.

Phoenix yellow was a mustard metallic yellow, which i didnt think looked anywhere near as good as the Dakar Yellow II. Actually a client of mine still has his 1997 Dakar yellow M3 and brought it by the other day. The car looked awesome.

Actually the Mineral white w/ the black 19" wheels looks very sharp. You should be able to order Carbon Black on the New M3/M4 as that color is still being produced on other cars for a premium. If I had to actually choose, I would go with a Frozen White as that is a Mineral White without the clearcoat. It provides the car a sheen metallic look to a frozen color and looks awesome

Cannot decide between baby blue, mustard yellow, or ketchup red. They are all too good I mean TERRIBLE WTF BMW

OK, here's my assessment.

Basically there wasn't any silver or blacks. Just one gunmetal car that was in the barn.

Austin Yellow looks killer in person on the M4 — not so on the M3.

Sakhir Orange is pretty cool but it doesn't work like it does on the M6.

Yas Marina Blue looks awful in person – bad on coupe and convertible.

Best color thus far has been Mineral White and as a user keenly pointed out above Frozen White is boss.

As far as I'm concerned I'm really glad that BMW has FINALLY decided to offer brighter and more daring colors. I've driven BMW's exclusively (including M cars) for more than 30 years now, and one thing that has always annoyed me has been their tendency to only offer "safe colors" like black, silver, gray, dark blue, etc. .....especially in the US where we normally don't have access to all the colors available in Germany. These are M-cars, they should have special and unique "sports car" colors available for those of us that want their cars to look different than the standard 3 or 4 series. Those of you that don't like it can still get the boring colors like Mineral Gray, Sapphire Black, white, etc. ....they are still offered. I will take mine in Austin Yellow, thank you very much. I also like the Sakhir Orange, and would even take the Yas Marina Blue over any of the boring colors. I will reserve those for my regular non-M BMW's. I would never buy an M-Car in a color that is also available on other non-M BMW models. An M-car deserves an M color....you know, all the ones named after race tracks from around the world.

I would chose Individual Atlantis Blue, Blacked out 20" Rims with Silverstone Full Merino Leather interior.
