PHOTOS GALORE! Does The All-New Jaguar F-Type Coupe IMPROVE Upon The Roadster's Already Sleek Design?
The all-new Jaguar F-Type is a big move for the leaping cat. Not only because the car sounds like a wave of awesome when it's approaching you operating at full tilt, it's because it's a hoot to drive. Whether you're driving the base V6 or behind the wheel of the V8 variant, you better buckle yourself in because it's going to be a helluva a ride.

Of course the F-Type Roadster has been on the market for a bit of time now, trying to nip away sales from cars like the Audi R8, Chevrolet Corvette, Mercedes-Benz SL and Porsche 911, BUT if you want to be taken seriously in the high-performance game you typically need to offer a coupe. Though most companies introduce the coupe first then bring an extra spicy drop top, Jaguar Land Rover did it backwards this go around.

2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe USA Launch

Considering how much I liked the F-Type when I had a first run in one at an autocross event, I am looking forward to seeing what Agent 001 thinks as an 911 owner.

As you can see in the multitude of shots below, 001 is with Jaguar at Willow Springs getting his first crack at the all-new F-Type Coupe. Doesn't sound like a bad day at the office, if you ask me!

Looks really awesome from some angles but not as much from others. The convertible to coupe direction doesn't have the greatest track record.

Great car! I hope it gets the sales success it deserves! One of the best execution of the "fast back" design on the market!

Wow...I use to think Aston Martins had the most beautiful cars.

Adore that track. The F Type is a great replacement to the XK which is effectively what it did. It's $100K price (getting any F Type at a dealer below 100K simply does not happen due to price gouging) will keep it from being a volume product. Jaguar needs to bottle the magic of the F Type and create a $45K "R Type" that could tempt buyers away from high end Mustang GTs and Camaro SSs (sic).

Um there is NO price gouging going on with the F-Type. If anything there will be incentives. This isn't a Corvette where the demand is through the roof. You can lease a $94000 F Type S for like $850/month with zero due at signing.

Actually Matt is not really far off here. Jaguar could certainly put more R & D into further developing the supercharged V6 engine to get the power close to the V8 R. However based on where it is made the odds are against this due to currency of the pound versus the dollar. The other point is the interior quality is in a different world compared to a Camaro or Mustang. At 100 grand the F Type R compares very well to a 911 Carrera S let alone a 911 Carrera. It's interesting that Motor Trend compared a 50th anniversary 911 against and F type R. In reality it was really not a fair comparison. The 50th anniversary retailed with options for $151,000. the F Type R with Ceramic brakes retailed for $117,000.MT rated the 911 better in ultimate handling. My question is due to the fact that that car had the wider track from the Carrera 4 AWd was that really a fair comparison? What about comparing an R to a standard Carrera S. That would have been a more interesting comparison. The T Coupe is simple beautiful period while the convertible is merely very very good looking. In either case the F type R is a very very good car at 100 grand. 0-60 in 3.6 seconds speaks for itself.

Exterior is gorgeous. Interior is also-ran. Much like the FR-S/BRZ interiors look to come from a class below, this interior looks to come from a class below, or two. Just disappointing, really.

I agree to some extent the interior could be better.
