VIDEO: Agent00R's HOPES And DREAMS Are Dashed! Nissan Reveals Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo

Those last two words are key: Gran Turismo. That's because it is a joint effort between the creators of the well-known PlayStation video game and Nissan.

You bet your pants I am a little bummed out. The good news is that all the haters will not have much to talk about these days. But just imagine if it was a real-life mid-engined monster. Phew, the exotic automakers would be sweating a bit.

Anyhow, Nissan released a very short press release and a video showcasing its digital performance auto.

I am not sure about you guys and gals, but I am getting a bit tired of all these video game cars. In my eyes, this won't make a generation aspirational buyers.

NASHVILLE. Tenn. (June 16, 2014) – Nissan today lifts the virtual covers off the NISSAN CONCEPT 2020 Vision Gran Turismo, a vision of what a high performance Nissan could look like in the future. It was created through close collaboration with the creators of Gran Turismo®, Polyphony Digital Inc., the legendary PlayStation® driving franchise.

This may still make it into production, or at least some parts of it. If people like the car and it develops a cult following in the game, Nissan may build a few models.

Some auto makers are bold and committed to their future vision and make cars that not only look extreme but are extreme in their designs, just look at the BMW i8.
