The Aston Martin EAGLE Has Landed — Lagonda Resurrected With A SPECIAL Sedan On The Way
Those spy pictures of an Aston Martin Lagonda revival apparently weren't just showing a one-off. It turns out that the British marque has something very special in order.

The Lagonda nameplate will be resurrected, again, to produce a luxury sedan to be outfitted by Aston Martin's Q department. For the uninitiated, Q is the branch of Aston that builds the personalized vehicles and special one-off products, like the CC100.

Though there will be more than one Lagonda built, it will be a limited series run with less than 100 to be produced in total, according to CAR. It is rumored to be fitted with the, predictable, 6.0-liter V12 Aston typically uses in its sports cars. The good news is that the rumormill is speculating an all-new eight-speed transmission will manage power — this is a common complaint with all of Aston's all-new offerings.

And instead of a lumbering 4x4, Aston is preparing this secret sports saloon, which will be built by Q branch, the company's personalisation department...

...It is tipped to use the 600bhp 5.9-litre V12 seen elsewhere in the Aston firmament, mated to an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission.

If Q department is responsible for the new Lagonda saloon, it seems certain that only lower volume production is likely. Fewer than 100 units are mooted.

Realistically the Rapide doesn't compete with the M6 Gran Coupe, too much of a price difference.

This is simply art on wheels. Truly gorgeous.

That rendering looks about right and very awesome just because it's so much different than your regular Aston Martin.

Gorgeous, especially the rear quarter. A shot across the bow to all the bloated me-too designs out there.
