SPIED: Facelifted Jaguar XJ Snapped — New Details Seen Clearer Than Before
So for the past several months or so there's been a tremendous amount of spots showcasing the newly revamped Jaguar XJ. But, if I am honest, the camouflage hasn't changed all that much.

Of course this makes for a frustrating experience when we're trying to see more and more as the vehicle's development moves on. Though we know the changes will be relatively miniscule, they're still important to buyers in-market.

New spy shots snapped by an Auto Express reader — Mr. John Stride — show new angles previously unseen. And if you're ready to get your zoom on, you'll notice subtle changes as pointed out by Auto Express below:

...From this angle, it looks at though the front grille is slightly smaller than that on the current XJ, and moving further down there are wider, slimmer air intakes as part of a slightly reworked lower bumper.

Moving further back shows a seemingly more sculpted look behind the rear wheel arches, as well as a chunkier rear bumper.

The problem with the XJ is the greenhouse and the tacky plastic that is designed to look like a part of the rear window. Making it look like a hatchback was not the wisest move. The nose with the gaping hole grill wasn't the issue, but combine the hatchback looking DLO with the vertical tail lights that made it look tall and narrow and the truly terrible sales are no mystery. Horizontal tail lights and a more conventional greenhouse would make all the difference.

The real solution is to build the Bertone B99 and fire Callum.

This nip and tuck will do literally nothing to reverse the laughable sales. And they are laughable when you realize that XJ sales are barely better than the boring-but-conventional Hyundai Equus.
