SPY SHOTS: New Audi A7 and A5

A5 will be more of a coupe A4 size built on the B8 platform and the A7 will be more of a A6 coupe size (like a 6 series)

I don't think that there should be a production a5 or a7. They don't need to try and compete with 6-series or CLK. As for 6-series and SL the R8 will be in that segment. A lot of uneccesary models.

but the a7 will offer 4 seats, wont it? unlike the sl or xk or r8.

The A5 is pretty much confirmed. It was previewed several years back by the Nouvolari concept, the A7 will probably be previewed by a concept in the future, possibly in Los Angeles.

a5 looks good and a real possibility but the a7 looks ugly, unnecessary and unlikely to make it into production. exactly what is the a5 competing against?

synx- Photoshop not a real car and the A7 will be out next year. The A7 is most like a 6 series i guess. The A5 goes up agenst itself but you can almost call it an A4 coupe

Those are ideas of how the cars will look good. The A5 will be the coupe and convertible version of the next generation A4.

efoxs4 - i saw a production schedule for 2 years out and the A7 was on it (this was over 8 months ago)

Wow on second look... I see no one seem to catch it's the Bentley GT convertible with some photo shop work. Still looks good and I'm still waitin in line if it looks anything like this!

I'm holding out for the A9.

OMFG what is Audi comming to??? A1,A2,A3,A4,A5,A6,A7, and A8!?!? It's getting really annoying if you ask me!

If Audi can up the 'gottahaveit' factor on these cars they'll do great. It's a mysterious brew of performance, technology and styling that makes Audi great. Audi's current line-up should get a huge boost once they improve the line (40/60, engine shifting back, etc). Hopefully Audi can get a bit less conservative with the performance dynamic (like RS4) while staying tasteful.
