VIDEO: Can YOU Hear Me NOW? Does An Akrapovic Exhaust Make The Difference YOU Need On The 2015 BMW M3/M4?
As the accolades for the all-new 2015 BMW M3 and M4 pour in from all angles, it seems that for some there's only one real sticking point. The exhaust note.

While some have exclaimed the car's one of the best sounding, others have castigated it for having a "farty sound." I am somewhere in the middle because when the car is at idle it's not particularly lovely. BUT, neither is a Ferrari F430. That said, if I were to be snapping up a new M3 or M4 in the near-term future, I would definitely start thinking about an exhaust as one of my first mods.

The problem arises though: Which? Akrapovic wasn't a name I was familiar with until the past two to three years. From just about everyone I've spoken to the quality is just as good as OEM; however, you will have to donate your kidney to fund for it. If you want the best of the best though, this is where you go.

So when new video debuted of the M4 equipped with one I wanted to shoot it past the Spies and see if it bettered the car's exhaust note, or if it doesn't do it for you.

**Compare the aftermarket exhaust to the stock car by listening to what I heard at Road America!

Weigh in, Spies!

with multiple dyno tests confirming the new M3/4 are making 425hp and 425lb-ft of torque at the wheels (roughly 500 of each at the crank), I think I'd be able to get used to the sound.

I'm currently driving an E90 M3 convert, and a colleague just bought a 2015 M3, The E90 easily wins for exhaust note. When it comes to speed and performance the 15 M3 devours the E90, especially at altitude.

Sounds like a chintzy six. Maybe even a four!

Sounds like about a dozen different rice burners to me. But there is fake sound inside to simulate a BMW.

I'm waiting for the beasts of exhaust notes - The Meisterschaft, RPI, Gintani, Eisenmann etc to come out with something that sounds great

Meisterschaft and Eisenmann will be interesting to see. Also, if Tubi jumps in on this-gen M3/M4 would be cool.
