Sales on the A4 need to soar a hell of a lot to be in the zone of BMW and Mercedes! Sales are almost as slow as the Cadillac ATS.

BMW 3 Series MY2013 119,521
Mercedes C Class MY2013 88,251
A4 MY2013 42,130
Cadillac ATS MY2013 38,319

Considering how many A4s sold years ago, 42k is a nice place to be.

"Soaring" demand? The A4 is DOWN 2.5% YTD from last year.

It's soaring demand for the brand overall - not the A4 specifically.

Here is the math...

WHO CARES; they share information, ideas, financial responsibility. So what!! This keeps cost for R & D lower, but yet they add their own style, design, features AND Performance UPGRADES. Get real - they all do this (old news)

= This car is priced way to close to the A3.

heyyyy someone gets it, it was priced too close to the A3. Plus it is actually smart to raise the price of the A4 now. It's a buildout year, so you're going to limit production with a new model coming and you're going to have to rebate the existing one anyway. Might as well raise the price a couple grand so when you rebate it it's really not actually costing you anything. Plus it gets consumers acclimated to the concept of a higher priced A4, which the new one will be.

Thank you for that...there should be a baseline level of automotive knowledge and basic understanding of the economics behind vehicle development costs that individuals must demonstrate prior to being allowed to establish a user name and password for this site. This would reduce the amount of ignorant "all Audis are just re-skinned VWs" type of posts on here and leave the true car enthusiasts to have more fruitful discussions and debates.
With all due respect,you forgot one...
BMW = > Rolls Royce.
Anybody care to criticize that one?

This Audi A4 was facelifted for MY2013 so this 2015 MY could be its last year. It certainly looks better than the prefacelift yet changes are subtle. I hope Audi attempt something extraordinary for the exterior of the next generation A4 because the resemblance between the models is too much and now with the advent of the A3, Audi should make the two models look radically different. Mmm....I guess that's wishful thinking....we're talking Audi here!

Nothing really new or interesting here. Raising the price of entry via visual enhancements. The real question of importance is when will the all new A4 debut in American showrooms or anywhere else for that matter? The 2015 A4 is long in the tooth with it now entering its 7th year in the current iteration.
