On This 4th Of July As We Celebrate Our Exceptionalism We Ask the KEY Question. WHAT Would Joey Chestnut Drive?
As we here in the USA are celebrating our independence and are enjoy the fruits of all our amazing blessings we reflect on the all the great people over the years that have made this country the BEST in the world.

George Washington, Ben Franklin, Martin Luther King, Albert Einstein, Our military, etc., etc., etc.

Something about this country brings out exceptionalism.

The ultimate breeding ground for greatness.

And if you want to understand Americans (as over 1/3 of our readers are from OUTSIDE the USA) pay close attention to HOW we do our thing.

Although I'm trying to inject some good, fun humor here today in the end this real NAILS what it is to be American.

This is WHAT I think makes this country the best and I pray it never changes (becuase it IS changing and not for the better if you ask us) is that no matter what we set our mind to we believe it CAN be done and in even the dumbest things (like this Nathan's hot dog eating contest) the winners that still live here give their ALL.

Think about it...WHO else puts as hard an effort these days as a guy who TRAINS to set the world hot dog eating contest.

Not eating TEN dogs, not 20, not 30 but almost EIGHTY in ten minutes!

We are in AWE my friends.

Today we celebrate exceptionalism. What made this country the BEST on earth.

If YOU want to be the best, then learn from this. No matter WHAT you do, give your all and then some and no matter WHO tells you it cannot be done, SHOW THEM IT CAN!

People like him CANNOT be beaten.

Enjoy a GREAT 4th and tell us WHAT ride is the PERFECT one for the World Hot Dog eating champion, Joey Chestnut!
UPDATE! Joey wins his 8th contest in a ROW!!!!

America, the best country...well, this is rather debatable if you ask me. I would not disagree if we were living in the 1910's or 20's, but nowadays if you say the U.S. is the best country in the world, this sounds rather forced.

The U.S. education system is right now one of the worst in the entire world, when Finland's education system is considered to be the top class.

No manufacturing jobs in the U.S. anymore. No manufacturing job = Hard to see it as a "developed" country. But the Europeans, the Chinese and the Japanese have them all covered.

Not many highly respected brands. The Europeans enjoy 70% of the luxury brand market pie of the entire world, and there are so many highly respected European brands, when the U.S.'s main brands are all controversial ones, like McDonald's, Pepsi, Microsoft, etc. And despite the fact that the U.S. is such a big country with big economy, the U.S. was never able to develop a luxurious brand/product that has heritage.

91.5 million people not included in labor force.

http://dailycaller.com/2013/11/11/record-high-91-5-million-people-not-included-in-labor-force/

That's a lot of people unemployed in the U.S. Isn't that number almost like more than half of the adult Americans? And they are all unemployed and not looking for work anymore...well, this is insane.

And more than 70% of Americans nowadays live paycheck to paycheck. Not much money saved, either.

If you look at each European country, you can tell every one of them is unique, and there are so many things you could learn from those creative Europeans. But what is it that we can learn from the U.S....other than the fact that anything the U.S. does is not really something good to learn?

And also, why is Hillary Clinton spending Fourth of July in GREAT BRITAIN? Isn't it weird a bit? Not to mention she is right now the most supported candidate in the Democratic party.

And I think we can learn a lot from Ming Dynasty, as Ming and the U.S. have a lot of similarities.

"What the collapse of the Ming Dynasty can tell us about American decline"

Amid Detroit bankruptcy, ‘Chicago has too many similarities to ignore’

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/top-business-stories/amid-detroit-bankruptcy-chicago-has-too-many-similarities-to-ignore/article13340570/

We all know about Detroit bankruptcy. Could Chicago be next? Because it seems like tons of people are unemployed there.

But yes, the problem is that the U.S. education system is failing.

"The Finland Phenomenon"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkNK3gY-rxg

When the education system collapses, crime rates go up and you end up becoming a country with corruption. Meaning a third world country.

The U.S. has lost "every" advantage that it had against the Europeans, and not only that, the European countries have beaten the U.S. in almost every field "completely", except probably military. 'Murica F--- Ya!

And please downvote me if you believe America is way too inferior to the European countries in every way, except military ;)

Cheers, everyone, and have a great Fourth of July!

Embarrassed? This is so funny! Why do I not talk about "where" I live right now....maybe because I have "no" reason to, and also "I" "Myself" "Am" "an" "AMERICAN" "anyway", and it is essentially "none" of your business to know where I am from?

And oh, calling me Mr. 3rd world lol!

This is so funny, are you so angry right now that, you are actually calling me Mr. Third world right now?

Hey kid. All Americans are right now from the "third world country aka U.S.A.", so I guess I can not argue with that. lol!

And also, you seem to keep blaming on the Liberals. I actually do believe you are right to some extent, but your hatred towards the Liberals is actually pretty funny, considering the fact that the one that ruined the U.S. economy is Ronny Reagan ;)

Seriously, kid. You should stop watching Fox News and try to go outside to do something more for your own country, rather than spewing your stupidity on the internet. People like you are the reason why the U.S. is collapsing, and thankfully, I am not in the U.S. right now ;)

BobM, I'm sorry to break it to you, but I am not even from Europe. So nice try, kid. And science? It's pretty funny, because you seem to think medical stuff is "everything", when the U.S. does NOT even do well on every medical field. Do you have any brains, to be honest?

And what good is all the good medical prowess, when millions of Americans do not really have the access to it?

And stfu? hahaha, what's wrong? Don't let your anger get to you, just because you live in a third world country, you don't have the right to let your anger out on me there, kid.

And did you read all those sources that I gave you? What's wrong, too scared to read them, my friend? I am merely giving you an opportunity to take a look at your own country, and yet, why are you bashing me now, kid?

And the most laughable part is that "you" have not shown me a single thing that shows that the U.S. has outbested the European countries in anything, kid.

Oh, America indeed does lead in terms of science. No wonder General Motors always sets the standard high! tsk tsk tsk

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/04/23/upshot/the-american-middle-class-is-no-longer-the-worlds-richest.html?hp&_r=3

How did the U.S. become an economic giant? By having manufacturing backbone + tons of wealthy middle class families.

Now the U.S. has neither of them. So that makes America....what, BobM? Answer me ;)

What do "you" do for a living? And exactly why do you ask anyway?

And sorry, when did I say I am currently in the United States? Let me say this again, since it doesn't look like you heard me saying it before.

I do NOT live in the United States, aka a third world country. You happy now?

This explains it all. First of all, I have never read where you are from. Second, I know understand your bitter jealously for "my" country. You want so bad to enjoy my way of life and are stuck in some poorly manged disaster full of corruption, that you feel you need to badmouth what do you do not fully understand to make yourself feel better, must be a great way to live.

jeffgall, I actually feel quite sorry for you. If you have loyally followed my comments, you would know my comments come from my concerning heart, not from jealousy. But it is pretty laughable how you actually turn it around and "wish" to believe my concern towards America as "jealousy". Nice try, I guess you wish to live in a "fairy tale" just like how millions of Americans wish to live in that world nowadays. I feel sorry for you, kid.

And tell me, jealous? Do you still live in like 2002 or some time before that? Exactly "what" am I supposed to be "jealous" of when it comes to the United States? I really would "LOVE" to know! Tell me! ;)

And corruption hahaha. I'm sorry, I guess you don't even know what corruption is, if you do not know any corruption within your own country.

Sorry, kid. Ignorance is bliss they say.

First of all, tell me what country you live in and what you do for a living so I can truly compare my situation to yours.

Why would you feel sorry for us. Sure we have had economic down turn, but so has a good portion of the world. Recovery is happening, even despite the poor decisions my president has made, But the great thing about my country is an election can change that every 4 years, You speak a big game about how bad the United States is, but you get this view from outside through the media, If you feel so strongly about fixing our problems, come over here and do so.

And yes, we have corruption, but not nearly to the level as most third world countries where an elite group owns the mass wealth while the majority starve.

And by the way, your only point is that the Europens have wealth through some premium brands. Your "celebrity" view of wealth is naive. There are many other ways to gain wealth outside of Prada and Louis Vuitton.

As far the jealous part. I dare you to find a freer market to accomplish what you want to accomplish. My wife for example came from little money. Through extremely hard work and schooling between the both of us, we have ammassed a comfortable life. The great thing about the United States: the higher the risk, the higher the reward. It is not guaranteed, but nothing except birth and death are,

I feel sorrier for you that you live in a place that does not have this

First of all, I am not interested in your comparison, and my business is mine, not yours. Why do I not want to talk about it? Because I am not on this website to talk about my personal life but only to talk about my opinions on cars and the United States.

You want to talk about your personal life? Sure, go ahead. But don't expect anything in return.

May I ask, sir, "what" recovery? Where do you see that recovery? Do you simply believe what the media tells you?

And just so you know, you think "I" get my ideas from outside through the media, but did you know you are not that much different? Do you get the news of your country from your own community or something? No, you have to rely on the U.S. media as well. And "so do I".

Not nearly to the level as most third world countries where an elite group owns the mass wealth while the majority starve. Hmm.

I have a video, just for you.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6niWzomA_So

And I recommend Michael Moore's "Capitalism: A Love Story" as well.

I mean, you can not talk about your own country, if you are utterly ignorant about what is going on in it, am I correct?

And I'm sorry, but when I talk about the European countries, premium brand stuff is merely one of things that I talk about. Have you ever studied anything about the European countries' education system, or their economic structure, in any possible way? I guess the answer is No. And the Europeans have wealth through luxury brands...Hahaha, this is laughable. Luxury brand market is only 3% of the European GDP. Learn to read, sir, or you probably have never read this comment of mine? Or are you just here to make me laugh even more than I should be?

Now that is pretty laughable. Are you from the 1930's or something? Tell me, how much do you know about the economic situation of your own country? Did you read any of stuff I gave you?

Or you simply don't care because you and your wife live a good life now? Oh of course. That's how the Americans think. If I am ok, then everything else is ok. Am I right? This is why I said "ignorance is bliss".

And I really feel sorry, because such individualistic idea of America today ruined the nation.

And oh, have you "ever" been outside the U.S. before? Doesn't sound like you have. I have lived in many countries, and they all have their pros and cons, and I certainly do not see how America is the greatest.

Can you explain to me more efficiently? Am I supposed to be jealous of America because.....you and your wife were poor but you worked hard and now have some money, so I am soooo jealous of you? lol!!

Which era do you come from? Like 1940's?

If you want to know how messed up your own country is, I recommend you to read and watch the sources I gave you.

But then again, I don't expect you to do so, since you seem quite afraid to find out the truth about your country. It is really up to you, sir ;)

And I actually wonder myself what kind of education you have received.

Because certainly doesn't look like politics is your thing. I don't really think you even know the basic things regarding the U.S. economy, either.

Did you go to like, Harvard? The United States is a country that worships those who do well in schools. So, if you feel so proud of your country, I guess you at least went to one of the most prestigious universities in the United States? Or you haven't? Maybe too expensive to go there? Or you never did well in high school? I wonder if you are an "American" in your lovely "American" Harvard standard? ;)

I really feel sorry for you because you don't really seem to know much about the world in general. And you don't seem to really know what kind of issues the United States is facing currently.

Like I said, ignorance is bliss. If you think you live in the best country in the world, then you have the right to do so. I mean, it's a free country, no matter if you are right or wrong ;)
