CAR WARS! WHICH SUPER SUV Gets YOUR Vote? Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG vs. Porsche Cayenne Turbo

As I've noted over and over again in the past year, I've started to really find the best programming when it comes to automotive content. One of them is Britain's Fifth Gear with one of the hosts being the world famous Tiff Needell.

Recently the television program put together two incredibly powerful autos, the Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Though they are properly heavy SUVs, the reality is that their hulking motors and quick-shifting transmissions propel them to 60 and around the track faster than one would think.

Essentially, they're sports cars on stilts. Though that may seem like an oxymoron — it is — these SUVs deserve a bit of respect.

Tiff drives me nuts. I much prefer Clarkson and Hammond. In this duo I'd take the Mercedes. I'm so not interested in a VW Toerag with 911 caricature styling.

You two must be high! The Porsche is way ahead of the Merc in handling. The Merc is only good in a straight line. Furthermore the headlights are too small for the body! The Porsche is voluptuous: lots of curves on the bodywork. The Merc looks like a box on wheels!
When it comes to high performance SUVs, Range Rover and Porsche Cayenne rule!

I made my statement before seeing the video. Now that I have watched it I'm glad two respected professionals agree that the Porsche has superior handling.
